The police tell Jim their investigation has hit a dead end and suggest he take a rookie deputy out to the Jessica’s home to see if they can come up with any new ideas. While they are talking to the daughter at her home near Melrose, NM, the young deputy gets a call that sends Jim and the deputy to a remote location where a woman’s body has been found. The investigating takes a new turn and more murder victims start turning up. Information is slowly developed indicating one or more killers are looking for something and killing anyone in their way.
