From the Manufacturer The Bridgeport Fittings 141 1/2-Inch Steel PVC Sealing Locknut is made from zinc electroplated steel. It is liquid tight and has the threaded installation. It has a trade size of 1/2-Inch, a diameter of 1-1/4-Inch and a thickness of 1/8-Inch. CSA approval UL 514-B. Bridgeport Fittings, Inc. was founded by Adelbert R. Auray and Neil G. Hayes in 1925 as The Bridgeport Switch Company. Initially, the product line consisted of electrical switches, bells, buzzers, wall switches and receptacles. The company shifted manufacturing direction in 1936, when it was decided to emphasize conduit and cable fittings for the electrical industry. Malleable iron, steel, aluminum and brass fittings replaced the original residential electrical components. Later, in 1948, the company changed its name to Bridgeport Fittings, Inc.
